Bacon-Cheese Pig Wings

They're big, they're guy food, they're cheesy and they're addicting! Succulent pig wings are baked and tossed with melting Merkts Sharp Cheddar, crunchy bits of applewood-smoked bacon, garlic powder & sliced fresh green onions.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup – Merkts Sharp Cheddar
  • 12 each – Pig wings, small, thawed, pre-cooked
  • 1 heaping tsp – Garlic powder
  • 1-2 Tbsp – Applewood-smoked bacon cooked & minced, or bacon bits
  • 1 Tbsp – Scallions (green onions), sliced

Preparation

Put thawed, pre-cooked pig wings on a foil-lined sheet pan; bake at 425°F about 10 min. Put wings in a stainless steel mixing bowl, add garlic powder & toss to evenly coat. Microwave Merkts for 20 sec in a container to soften. Add the melted cheese, bacon & onions to wings; toss w/tongs in a bowl to evenly combine. Serve hot, 3 wings per person...and enjoy!

  • The best place to buy pig wings is from your local foodservice distributor (they come pre-cooked & smoked).
  • You can also look for pig wings at specialty grocers, or ask a butcher to prepare them (pig wings are cut from the ham shank/small fibula bone).
